Retail Assistant / Clinic Manager
Location: Hastings and Napier, NZ
Employment Term: Full Time - Part Time 30 hours per week
About the role
As the first point of contact for audiology customers, you'll handle enquiries in person and over the phone, guide customers through pre-screening tests, troubleshoot hearing aid issues, and support the Audiology Business Owner with the day-to-day running of the clinic. You'll also lead training for retail team members to ensure they understand audiology services and can provide consistent, high-quality support.
You will also have the opportunity to progress from a Retail Assistant into a Retail Clinic Manager through our comprehensive training program.
You will be based across our Hastings and Napier stores, with the flexibility to join us on a Full-Time or Part-Time (30 hours per week) basis. This opportunity offers stability and long-term career progression, working a consistent Tuesday to Saturday roster within a supportive and growth-focused environment.
Key Duties:
1. Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting positive relationships
2. Perform hearing screening and hearing aid maintenance (full training provided)
3. Schedule appointments through the Simply Hearing system
4. Manage administrative duties
5. Liaise with store partners and ensure smooth flow of daily clinic operations
6. Lead training with the retail team as an audiology champion of the store
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

7. Passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of others
8. Previous experience in a fast-paced retail/customer service environment
9. Previous experience in Audiology or allied health is desirable but not required
10. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy towards others
11. Strong computer literacy and highly adept in Bluetooth and troubleshooting technology
12. Committed towards continuous learning and development. Full Audiology training provided
