Retail Relief Security Officer
Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is looking to hire a Relief Retail Security Officer to join the Total Security Management Team.
Location: Co Op Retail Stores over Bristol
Pay:£12.60 per hour
Hours: 8 hours minimum per week
Job Description: The Relief Retail Security Officer will be available to cover various shift patterns and flexible locations, supporting the core team and ensuring safety at client sites.
Main Duties
* Demonstrate determination, trustworthiness, attentiveness and approachability when welcoming clients, managing ID badges.
* Serve as the first point of contact for customers and clients, maintaining geographic awareness.
* Travel to various retail client sites for sickness, holiday cover or support.
* Man the phones, emails, IT systems, CCTV, alarms, doors and car park as required.
* Spot and stop suspicious activity, retaining control until emergency services arrive.
* Report to the Security Operations Manager, recording and escalating sightings and arrests regularly.
Qualifications
* Team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
* Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
* Experience in Retail Security.
* Ability to travel to various sites.
* Flexible approach to work to suit business needs.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Calm under pressure.
* Understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act, relevant Criminal, Civil Law and Police and Criminal Evidence Act.
* Door Supervision or Security Guarding Licence essential.
* Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
