[Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic Jobs]
STS Aviation Services is hiring Sheet Metal Mechanics in Newquay, United Kingdom. This role supports aircraft structural maintenance, modification and production work at our NQY facility, reporting directly to the Workshops Manager.

Position Overview
The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for carrying out aircraft structural work to high standards while following company and manufacturer procedures. This includes removal of major aircraft structural sections, implementation of modifications and maintaining strong standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Remove major aircraft structural sections while stress jacked
* Work to fine tolerances and high standards
* Uphold high standards of housekeeping
* Adhere to company and manufacturer procedures
* Implement modifications from drawings and procedures
Skills and Abilities
* Completed aircraft engineering apprenticeship, production or live aircraft
* Ideally 5 years of live aircraft and structures experience
* Demonstrable experience in an aircraft modification or production environment
* Experience implementing and carrying out aircraft component modifications
* Experienced and capable of reading manufacturer drawings and SRMs
* Excellent hand skills
* Takes full ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks
* Good organisational skills
* Strong communication skills
* Knowledge of MS Office applications
* Eligible to work in the UK
