Requirements for the role of Geotechnical Monitoring Technician
* Experience within geotechnical, construction, surveying, or monitoring environments
* Understanding of geotechnical and structural monitoring equipment
* Ability to solve problems and work independently on site
* Experience working outdoors in challenging environments
* Strong communication skills and ability to complete detailed site reports
* Good IT skills and confidence using monitoring software and data systems
* Capable of physical work, lifting, carrying, and climbing
* Full UK driving licence
Duties and responsibilities
* Installation and maintenance of geotechnical and structural monitoring equipment
* Carrying out monitoring surveys using total stations, inclinometers, piezometers, crack gauges, and vibration monitors
* Downloading, processing, and reviewing monitoring data
* Conducting routine inspections and fault finding on instrumentation systems
* Assisting with automated monitoring system installations
* Producing accurate field records and technical reports
* Liaising with engineers, site managers, and contractors on site activities
* Ensuring all monitoring activities are completed in accordance with health & safety standards
* Supporting project mobilisation and demobilisation activities
* Travelling to various project sites as required
