Clinical Physiologist (Bank)

Hourly rate: £36 per hour
The post holder will be a valuable member of our Lung Centre bank team in a rapidly‑growing respiratory department at the Clinical Investigation Centre (CIC). The role requires clinical and operational skills, working independently and collaboratively with adult and paediatric patients to deliver safe, effective, and patient‑centred care.
Responsibilities
* Champion clinical skills within the department and support daily running of the Lung Centre.
* Deliver a modern lung function service, including spirometry, lung function tests, reversibility studies, skin prick allergy testing, 6‑minute walk tests, respiratory muscle strength assessment, and bronchial provocation studies.
* Support daily running of the centre and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient care.

* Fitness‑to‑Fly assessments (HCT)
* Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing
* Capillary Blood Gases (ear sampling)
Sleep Services (Desirable)
* Respiratory Polygraphy connection and analysis
* CPAP clinic – set up, troubleshooting and monitoring
* Understanding of and exposure to Polysomnography (PSG)
Key Skills / Qualifications
* BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or equivalent specialist training.
* Minimum 1‑year post‑qualification experience in a Clinical Respiratory Physiology Department.
* Registration with AHCS or equivalent; membership of ARTP or ERS desirable.
* Proficient in Office 365 and clinical systems; experience with private healthcare delivery is a plus.
* Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.
* Passionate about respiratory medicine and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.
