Post Title: Specialist Physiotherapist
Location: Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, Community Rehabilitation Team
Salary/Banding: Band 6
Hours: 1.0wte (36hrs)
An opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based in Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. You will require NHS experience of working with adults, primarily older people, and possess assessment and treatment knowledge and skills associated with this patient group.
Key Responsibilities
Patients are seen in their own homes, in a homely setting, or as an outpatient. The team focuses on community rehabilitation, preventing unnecessary admission, supporting earliest possible discharge from hospital, and enabling patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes. There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites. Our service offers regular supervision, PDP and supports training opportunities. The ability to travel throughout the area is essential as this post is community based. Public Holiday working is in operation (accept Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).
Requirements
You will require a degree in Physiotherapy and be registered with the HCPC. Evidence of continuous professional development appropriate for the banding is essential. Evidence of involvement in audit and service development is required and experience of supervising junior staff for Band 6 level.
