Overview
Consultant Psychiatrist, Lyra Ward - Silverwood (attracts £25K RRP) role at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. Lyra Ward is a 16-bed female inpatient unit that is part of the Northwest Mental Health Inpatient Service in Chertsey. This is a leadership role in a modern, recovery-focused environment designed to provide high-quality, therapeutic care.
The post-holder will deliver consultant psychiatric input to inpatients per the agreed Acute Service Operational Policy, provide clinical leadership, and be actively involved in service improvement activities. You will work with Home Treatment Teams, community services, and families to support safe discharge and recovery.
Responsibilities
* Deliver consultant psychiatric input to inpatients admitted to Lyra Ward per the Acute Service Operational Policy.
* Provide clinical leadership and be actively involved in service improvement activities.
* Take Responsible Clinician duties, lead ward rounds, support clinical decision-making, and help shape the service’s ongoing development.
* Work closely with Home Treatment Teams, community services, and families to support safe discharge and recovery.
* Collaborate with colleagues from other professional disciplines and ensure handover of care when patients transfer between teams as part of the patient pathway.
* Deliver services in line with the Trust policy for the Care Programme Approach.
