We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contract Manager to lead and develop our electrical services function. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will play a critical role in driving operational performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional service across our electrical portfolio.
This is a leadership position where you will shape strategy, manage performance, and build a high-performing team to support our growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the electrical operations team, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and development.
* Drive operational efficiency and profitability, delivering against budgets and business targets.
* Oversee full compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and certification standards.
* Manage P&L performance, including cost control, stock management, and resource planning.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Provide insightful performance reporting, including financial and operational metrics.
* Ensure excellent customer service across all electrical works, including EICR testing and remedial services.
* Champion health & safety, ensuring robust policies and safe systems of work are maintained.
About You
You are a confident leader with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced operational environment.
* Budget management, forecasting, and cost control
* Delivering complex operational projects on time and within budget
* Strong knowledge of building regulations and health & safety legislation
* In-depth knowledge of electrical regulations (BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations)
* Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g. NICEIC)
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation
* 17th & 18th Edition BS 7671
* Inspection & Testing (2391 or 2394/2395)
* ECS Health & Safety qualification
* Full UK driving licence
