About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist division of a global Tier 1 contractor, working on projects ranging from £500,000 to £20m. They work primarily within the Commercial Fit Out & Refurbishment market while also covering other sectors of construction.
In this role, you will work alongside industry experts in a high-performing team, contributing to projects that are shaping the construction landscape. You’ll gain exposure to complex projects while helping to drive the business forward with your estimating expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of projects, from small-scale works up to £20m.
* Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to ensure accurate pricing.
* Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
* Contribute to the development of tender strategies and value engineering solutions.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry costs, materials, and labour rates.
* Produce clear and detailed reports for senior management and clients.
* Support the team in continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, ideally with exposure to projects in the range of £500k – £20m.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and procurement processes.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
* Experience with Conquest estimating software is preferred but not a prerequisite.
