We are currently recruiting for Machine Supervisors at our potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Shift & Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off rolling shift pattern, working 6am to 6pm
Salary: £13.96 once full training provided - starting rate £13.46 per hour
Responsibilities
* Supervise daily machine operations to ensure production goals and quality standards are achieved.
* Lead a small team, managing rotation and efficiency of staff.
* Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery to reduce downtime.
* Collaborate with production management to coordinate workflow.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
* Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
* Experience within a manufacturing or food production environment.
* Experience of Operate Vertical Form Fill and Seal (VFFS) Machinery and Multihead weighers, would be considered beneficial, however full training will be given to the successful candidate.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations as related to machine operation.
* Effective communication skills for liaison with staff and management.
