We are seeking a competent, proactive HSE Supervisor to support the effective implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of health, safety, and environmental practices in our Nuclear Division. Working closely with site leadership and cross-functional teams, you will ensure all HSE procedures, risk controls, and compliance activities are carried out consistently, accurately, and in line with regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for someone looking to apply their existing HSE skillset within a dynamic project environment, while taking ownership of all aspects of the project lifecycle relating to HSE. This role will support the transportation of project materials to Hinkley Point by sea and land, primarily based at Avonmouth Dock with regular travel to Combwich Wharf and Hinkley Point.
What You’ll do
* Act as the HSE champion and SME, providing timely and accurate advice is given and followed before, during and after each operational evolution.
* Assist with risk assessments and method statements, ensuring documentation is up to date and practical for site teams
* Monitor compliance with company procedures and legal requirements, escalating issues where necessary
* Support incident reporting and investigations, gathering information and helping to identify corrective actions
* Liaise with multiple teams within the project to ensure safe coordination of activities, clear communication of HSE requirements, and consistent adherence to site safety standards
Skills & Experience
* A recognised HSE qualification (e.g. NEBOSH general certificate)
* 2-3 years working in a HSE role
* An ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organisation
* Strong understanding of HSE legislation, site compliance requirements and industry best practice
* Experience working with heavy plant, lifting operations, and large-scale mechanical equipment
* Proven ability to carry out site inspections, audits, and basic incident investigation
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate HSE records and documentation
