If you are looking for a rewarding career and to work within an epic team that will help you grow and thrive, then you have come to the right place. Working within our Bipolar Peer Support Service you can start your day knowing what you do really does make a difference!

Penumbra in Partnership with Bipolar Edinburgh

Penumbra is working in partnership with Bipolar Edinburgh to deliver peer services to individuals living with bipolar. Bipolar Edinburgh is a new charity that builds on the success of the Lothian Bipolar Self-help Group, which has supported over 3,500 people affected by bipolar since 2010. The charity provides information, group peer support and self-management guidance. They help each other to stay well. They are a friendly group of people, mostly made up of volunteers, who want to help people living with bipolar and of course their family/friends/supporters.

Bipolar Edinburgh is entering an exciting period of growth and is branching out into new areas, such as providing a wider range of wellbeing activities and educational opportunities. The partnership with Penumbra complements existing group peer support services and enable Bipolar Edinburgh (with Penumbra) to offer 1:1 peer support. Initially, the focus will be delivering services to people who have received a diagnosis of bipolar, however we would like to expand the service to include carers and other supporters in due course.

As a mental health charity, we really value the wellbeing of our staff. That’s why we want you to know that you’ll be joining a friendly team, who will give you a supportive environment to help you thrive in your role, including all the training you need to feel confident and equipped.

We can offer you a tonne of employee benefits, and we can promise you’ll be inspired by some pretty amazing humans every single day. We will support you on your own career path; developing new skills, accessing formal and informal learning experiences, and providing opportunities to put your continual progress into practice.
