Requirements

To deliver excellence across all Food and Beverage activities, providing an outstanding guest experience, conveying a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere coupled with professional and efficient service, whilst maximising profits and utilizing opportunities for improved efficiencies to exceed customer expectations and ensuring our company values and standards are consistently delivered.

Assign duties, inspect, and investigate internal and external complaints regarding F&B service and equipment ensuring corrective action is taken. To assist in training and development of new employees. Ensuring our Company values and standards are consistently delivered

The ideal person will have at least 1 year’s experience in a similar position and will have the ability to deliver great service to our guests.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, reliable and willing to learn.

Duties Will Include


* To coach, develop and effectively manage the performance of the Food and Beverage team.
* To lead, develop and empower employees to deliver operational best practise.
* Identify opportunities and make recommendations for improving efficiency and quality of service.
* To be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant department, whilst providing a role model for the team.
* Set up the restaurant and private dining areas to the hotel standard, meeting guest requirements.
* Ensure that guest needs are anticipated, and requests are met.
* To handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints to the restaurant manager(s).
* To comply with, implement and main all statutory and legal requirements demonstrating integrity at all times.
* To assign staff their daily duties and inspect work for conformance to prescribed standards.
* To co-ordinate departmental working activities between other hotel departments. For example, reception, bar, sales, etc.
* To ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the restaurant, kitchen area and public areas.
* Check the general condition of the restaurant and kitchen area and notify restaurant manager/assistant managers of any malfunction or damage.
* To be fully aware of all hotel services and consistently deliver superior customer service.
* To ensure that brand standards and procedures are applied.
* To assist with the periodic cleaning of areas as requested.
* To ensure smooth running of the food & beverage department by serving tables with food and beverage, as required
* Take food and beverage orders directly from customers and/or other serving staff.
* All visitors to be warmly received and their needs anticipated in an appropriate manner.
* Opportunities to be taken to promote products to our customers at every opportunity.
* To ensure that you are trained and fully conversant with all aspects of the food and beverage menus, including daily/seasonal specials, cheese, wine, cocktails, etc.
* Full compliance and commitment to hotel standards to be demonstrated.
* Set up rooms for functions, meetings and private dining to the hotel standard, meeting guest requirements.
* Attend briefing sessions, meetings and training sessions as and when required.
* To comply with, implement and main all statutory and legal requirements demonstrating integrity at all times.
* To ensure business efficiency through the use of IT systems
