Learning Support Assistant - SEND support for children with complex needs Fixed term contract until 31st August 2027. Term time only. Contractual hours: 3 days – 19.5 hours working 08:30-15:30. Preferably, Monday, Wednesday and Friday Salary: Band C - £26,824 - £29,540 pro rata Dickens Heath Community Primary School is a two-form-entry primary school located in the village of Dickens Heath. The Governing Body are looking to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic and knowledgeable learning support assistant who has a passion for supporting individual children and their specific needs. You will join our highly talented, supportive and friendly team at Dickens Heath School to provide some individual and small group support across the school day including learning and lunchtimes. Candidates need to hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or be working towards one. We are looking for someone who is: An excellent practitioner with high expectations of all children Proven track record of working successfully with children with complex special educational needs in a mainstream school with experience in an additional resource base or special school desirable. Innovative and creative practitioners who can flex and adapt to meet the individual needs of children; able to act on initiative and deliver bespoke learning plans Willing to invest in families Able to work as part of a team Friendly, approachable and emotionally intelligent with good interpersonal and communication skills Organised and able to work independently.
