As a member of the Maudsley Learning live delivery team, the post holder will organise and support educational audio-visual media production and the face-to-face and digital delivery of simulation-based-education (SBE) training and other Maudsley Leaning courses. The post-holder will also organise and support the delivery of a variety of medical, clinical, and multidisciplinary training courses using simulation technologies. The post-holder will require practical technical aptitude and the ability to learn and develop skills, to enable the confident delivery of simulation training which will use a variety of audio-visual recording and live stream technologies, as well as the use of medical high-fidelity mannequins and routine clinical equipment.
* Assist the delivery, in conjunction with mental health simulation faculty and training leads, of a range of SBE training courses. This will involve presence at all day courses, responsibility for smooth audio-visual delivery on the day, working with professional actors and preparing and using high fidelity mannequins. This will either be at the Ortus Simulation Suite or a client in-situ space, which may involve the use of our bespoke AV streaming system.
* Assist in the digital moderation of live online training courses and webinars delivered through applications such as Zoom and MS Teams, providing Q&A and technical support for participants joining courses, supporting presenters and chat moderation.
* Support the production of learning, development & promotional video, audio and virtual reality content and materials. This includes, on location assistance for video shoots when required. This may involve, but not limited to, support during pre-production; shoot planning, set design, production; camera and audio recording operation, presence on all day video shoots, and post-production, editing using application such as Adobe Premier Pro.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the live delivery of a range of SBE training courses, in conjunction with mental health simulation faculty and training leads.
* Presence at the day long courses with responsibility for smooth audio-visual delivery on the day.
* Assist in the creation of high fidelity simulated environments. Manage props and juggle scene changes throughout the delivery of simulation courses. This may involve moving items of furniture throughout the working day (as part of a team), in order to build immersive scenarios for course participants.
* Support the full production cycle of video and audio content – this will involve attendance of video shoots, pre and postproduction assistance and support.
* Camera, microphone and recording equipment operation.
* Postproduction editing video and audio content.
* Operate a specialist simulation A/V system. Maudsley Learning utilise specialist simulation AV hardware and software (SMOTS) and the job holder will be given guidance and training to operate this equipment.
* Co-ordination of actors ready for live simulation scenarios throughout the delivery of simulation courses.
* Lead on the moderation of digital simulation and other digital courses and webinars delivered through applications such as Zoom and MS Teams. The post holder will be allocated a Trust laptop and additional monitor to support dual screen display and will be fully supported in the setup and operation of IT equipment.
* Liaise with Course faculty and Subject Matter Experts, regularly communicating as the work develops whilst ensuring the required technical materials are ready in advance of courses.
* Sensitively support/ assist any Experts by Experience (EBEs) who may be involved in delivery of Maudsley Learning courses.
* Assist in providing technical support and maintain the centre's simulation and production AV equipment and consumables in high working order. This will involve liaising with senior members of the Media Team and Trust ICT services where necessary. This may also involve liaising with AV suppliers.
* Participate in any training and event delivery needs, where appropriate, as required by the Head of Live Delivery and Head of Production.
* Reporting of faults with equipment, software, props, furniture, fixtures and fittings to line managers. Order supplies for media team as required; authorised signatory for small payments in relation to purchases required for the Simulation suite. Carry out day-to-day budget management duties.
