About the role
We are looking for a contract P6 Project Planner for an initial 1-year assignment, with the possibility of extension.
The position will require regular time on site in Craigavon, Northern Ireland – typically 2–3 days per week.
The agreed rate is inclusive of all expenses, including travel and accommodation where required for candidates travelling from other parts of the UK.
You will be working on the master commissioning programme for a complex pharmaceutical manufacturing project, collaborating with a team of CQV engineers to plan their workload. The role will focus heavily on managing the critical path and effective resource management.
A Project Controls system is already in place, and the Project Controls Manager will provide a handover to ensure a smooth transition.
Following this, you will be responsible for:
* Two-week lookahead meetings
* Bi-monthly schedule updates
* Presenting schedule and progress data to project stakeholders
Experience & Qualifications
Must have:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Primavera P6
* Experience on process projects, ideally within life sciences
* Educated to a minimum of HNC in Engineering or Business, or time-served Mechanical or Electrical Technician
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident preparing and presenting schedule data to stakeholders at steering meetings
* Evidence of delivering a project from cradle to grave
Desirable:
* Experience with resource levelling
* Experience of risk analysis
* Microsoft Project experience
* Client-side master scheduling experience
* APM / PRINCE2 project management–based accreditations
* SC clearance (current or previously held)
* Experience on projects with a value of £20m+
