Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Chef de partie, you will be responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management.
* Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
* Ensure all cooking equipment is maintained and cleaned regularly.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new culinary techniques.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
