This is an exciting opportunity to join Norfolk County Council’s large and successful Public Health team. As part of the Public Health Specialist Team, you will support the Director of Public Health in delivering statutory functions across the county, contributing to the development of ambitious prevention strategies both within the Council and the wider Integrated Care System (ICS). You will provide senior-level expertise and leadership across the full spectrum of public health, offering strategic advice, shaping policy, and influencing system-wide improvements to population health outcomes. Key Portfolio Focus The current portfolio focus includes: * Leading an internal strategic review on All-Age Healthy Weight and Nutrition * Providing strategic leadership on Smoking and Vaping * Consultant input into wider Healthy Living / Health Improvement programmes, such as NHS Health Checks and Behaviour Change initiatives About You We’re seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Public Health Consultant with: * Inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register, GDC Specialist Register, or UKPHR for Public Health Specialists * Up-to-date CPD in line with Faculty of Public Health or equivalent requirements * Demonstrated ability to lead complex public health programmes and influence senior stakeholders * Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-agency challenges Interested?
