About Roehampton Gate School
Roehampton Gate School is a purpose‑built day school for young people with autism spectrum disorders, situated on Priory Lane. The spacious and modern building is designed to accommodate up to 70 learners and includes specialist subjects (ICT, art, food technology, science, music) as well as exclusive sensory and therapy rooms/suites.
Position Summary
Roehampton Gate School is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join our Therapy team. The role is suited to both experienced therapists in a special‑needs environment and newly qualified professionals. You will work closely with other Therapists and multidisciplinary staff, report to the Therapy Manager and contribute to the delivery of high‑quality occupational therapy services.

Main Duties
* Manage and coordinate own caseload; implement individual EHCP/treatment plans for occupational therapy services, ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.
* Receive and respond promptly to new students undertaking assessments to identify and prioritise student needs before planning and delivering appropriate interventions, either individually or in groups.
* Maintain accurate and timely records detailing each student’s progress and complete Annual Review records when required.
* Ensure the effective and efficient management of sensory profiles across the whole school and advise staff to correct implementation.
* Maintain and develop close working relationships with school teaching and support staff.
* Ensure clinical practice is in line with school policies and procedures, complies with statutory regulations and meets quality standards.
* Contribute to business growth by actively promoting the school’s therapy services in line with personal and school targets.
* Maintain effective communication links with students, patients, relatives, carers and purchasers.
* Undertake training for school staff in line with EHCP requirements, including individual and group support, and advise teaching and support staff throughout the academic year to develop.
* Be responsible for linking OT into the class setting for a strong ethos that collaborates therapy and education practice.
* Submit requests for equipment in line with supporting the progress of all students.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will be registered and hold a BSc in Occupational Therapy or a profession‑specific equivalent qualification. We welcome applicants who have demonstrated values, transferable skills and life experience relevant to working with children and vulnerable adults.
