Job Description Locum Commercial Lawyer - South West - Remote Working – £60 Umbrella
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Lawyer to join a Local Authority based in the South West on an interim basis.
This is a full time position, offered for an initial term of 3 months and is subject to likely extension thereafter. Occasional attendance for meetings is desirable but the position can otherwise be worked remotely.
An hourly rate of up to £60 via umbrella is offered for this post.
Duties and responsibilities may include:
Specialising in procurement, contracts and development projects
Protecting the interests of the Authority by advising upon, drafting and negotiating legal agreements
Providing expert legal advice to a variety of clients in-house across all directorates
Advising on contracts and procurement work in the changing environment post Brexit
Completing contracts on behalf of the Authority
Advising and work on development projects
Advising on legal matters affecting a public body more generally
