As we continue to scale, we are seeking a talented Marketing Specialist to strengthen our external voice, amplify our presence, and help position Global Commissioning as the clear leader in data centre commissioning.
Role Overview
The Marketing Specialist will work alongside the Brand & Marketing Manager to deliver cross-channel marketing and communications activity, with a particular focus on public relations, media visibility, and thought leadership. You’ll bring creative ideas, strong media contacts, and a hands-on approach to ensure our story is consistently told across digital, print, and in-person channels. This is a varied role spanning content, social media, PR and campaign delivery. You’ll be confident in identifying opportunities, securing coverage, supporting executive profiling, and driving day-to-day marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the development and delivery of a PR and communications strategy aligned with business objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry publications.
* Draft press releases, thought-leadership articles, case studies, blogs, and announcements.
* Secure high-quality coverage and opportunities that position Global as the industry leader.
Content & Storytelling
* Develop compelling content across press, blogs, email, and social channels.
* Ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications.
* Leverage project successes and industry trends (sustainability, ESG, innovation) to create impactful stories.
* Collaborate with executives and their PAs to support personal branding and thought-leadership activity.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
* Deliver a consistent cadence of LinkedIn and digital content to grow engagement.
* Support employee advocacy and executive profiling initiatives.
* Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations.
* Assist with website updates, email marketing, and campaign calendars.
Skills & Qualifications
* Degree in Marketing would be ideal 2–4 years’ experience in marketing & communications, ideally in B2B or technology sectors.
* Proven ability to build media relationships and secure coverage.
* Strong writing skills, with experience producing technical and commercial content.
* Knowledge of LinkedIn and digital marketing best practices.
* Creative, proactive, and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects.
* Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team where flexibility and initiative are key.
