Responsibilities
* Perform a wide range of warehouse operations to support the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods - typically in a specific area of the department.
* Comply with company Health & Safety requirements, Quality standards, and applicable local operating procedures.
* Perform a wide range of system transactions to support the warehouse operations.
* Have strong communication skills (written and verbal) as the role involves interaction with both departmental staff and others across the business.
* Maintain a positive, professional attitude and be adaptable to respond to the evolving needs of the department/business.
* A good level of literacy and attention to detail is required in the role to deal with various warehouse and order related information.
* The ideal candidate should be capable of working efficiently in an environment that may occasionally be physically demanding.
* Good level of computer literacy - experience of using Microsoft Office software (eg: Outlook).
* Good awareness and attitude to health & safety.
Desirable Requirements
* Current Fork Lift truck licence is preferable, although training will be provided.
* Previous experience of working in a warehouse or stores environment.
* Previous experience of using company stock control/ERP systems.
Person Specification
The successful applicant will be required to carry out general warehouse duties in a busy environment, handling domestic and international goods. The applicant will be a self-motivated 'team player' and have a methodical approach to problem solving with the ability to plan ahead, prioritise, and co-ordinate with colleagues.
