It is often said that being in palliative care nursing is a real honour and privilege, but it is frequently overlooked as a career pathway. Here at St Andrews, we strive to make every second count, creating memories for families. We aim to bring joy, happiness, and laughter to our Children's Services, and support tears and sad times with utmost care and compassion.
Every baby, child, young person, and family is different. Every conversation and every step we take is supported by an individualised care plan. You will have a wonderful opportunity to work with children and families, making a difference and caring deeply—this is what makes our organisation special.
Main duties of the job
The Senior Palliative Care Nurse will support outreach into the community (working with CCN teams, etc.), in-reach into acute hospitals (regular ward presence, attending ward rounds, etc.), and the development of community hubs. Building relationships with professionals and raising awareness of our services/support is vital. This role is pivotal to our service development, and we seek talented individuals passionate about improving the lives of children and young people with complex health conditions.
About us
