Position Overview
The BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) Sales Manager/Specialist is responsible for driving business development and sales growth for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale energy storage projects. This role requires strong technical understanding of BESS solutions and the ability to engage with EPCs, developers, utilities, and investors to identify opportunities and deliver value-based proposals.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute regional sales strategies for BESS solutions in line with company objectives.
* Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders including EPCs, IPPs, developers, utilities, and financial investors.
* Lead the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
* Collaborate with internal technical, product, and marketing teams to develop customized solutions and proposals.
* Monitor market trends, policy updates, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
* Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations to customers and partners.
* Participate in industry exhibitions, conferences, and webinars to promote brand visibility.
* Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting to management.
* Support after-sales communication to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Business Administration, or related field.
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in BESS, solar, or renewable energy system sales (utility or C&I scale preferred).
* Strong knowledge of battery technologies, inverters, EMS, and grid integration concepts.
* Proven track record in business development and contract negotiation for energy projects.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
* Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
* Proficiency in English; additional languages (e.g., Chinese, French, Spanish, or German) are a plus.
* Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as required.
