Overview
Senior Digital Product Owner role at Barclays. Focus on online banking and mobile app experiences, setting digital standards across the bank and ensuring labs meet those standards. Involves influencing stakeholders, monitoring performance, ensuring digital channels operate within tolerances and controls. Establish architectural foundations and shape a vision for success, working with BX teams to align with business requirements.
Responsibilities
* Execute market research to understand customer needs and emerging trends to support profitability analysis, market size and positioning for new products compared to existing offerings, and identify opportunities for diversification to gain a competitive advantage.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to generate innovative and feasible product ideas and prototypes for testing aligned with customer needs and strategic goals.
* Develop concepts and specifications which define features, functionalities, target market, user interface, technical specifications and potential revenue models of new products.
* Evaluate the technical feasibility, legal compliance, and potential risks associated with the development and launch of the new product.
* Monitor market trends and analysis feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes, user testing sessions, and beta programs to identify areas for improvement and refine the product before launch.
* Manage comprehensive launch plans and technical deployments for products that establish rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training initiatives and communication channels to promote the launch of new products effectively.
* Monitor key metrics such as adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation to assess the product’s performance against set goals.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a risk and controls environment.
* Understanding of technologies such as digital platforms, React, React Native, and cell-based architecture, including the business implications of architectural choices.
* Experience managing digital channels, including incident management and customer outcome optimisation.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Experience working within a large, complex organisation.
* Experience working directly with cross-functional agile teams running Scrum.
Other Skills
* Knowledge of AppStore and Play Store submission processes.
* Project management experience.
* Familiarity with Jira / Confluence.
Location
London, Glasgow, Knutsford, or Northampton.
