Job Title: HR Advisor
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000
Location: North Yorkshire (commutable from Leeds, Selby, and surrounding areas)
Working Structure: Office based – occasional site travel
Contract: Permanent
Interview process: 2 Stages Onsite
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of various human resources processes. This position requires a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Working hours: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Provide guidance and support to employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Maintain and update HR systems to ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
* Manage employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
* Support the administration of employee benefits and payroll processes.
* Contribute to the development of HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organisational culture.
* Collaborate with management to identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities.
* Support with employee engagement activities, including wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, and cultural initiatives.
* Assist the HR team with administrative tasks and projects.
* Support managers during investigations, disciplinaries, and welfare meetings.
* Provide effective absence management in conjunction with occupational health.
* Conduct exit interviews and assist with offboarding processes.
Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in a human resources role, preferably as an HR Advisor or similar.
* Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across all levels.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism.
* Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice is advantageous.
