About the Role
PHL is seeking dedicated and motivated General Practitioners to join our Enhanced Access Primary Care Service. Working in Havant and Waterlooville, you will provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care as part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team.
You'll ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time, while contributing to the development of a high-quality, reliable service.
Location: Havant Health Centre & The Oaks, Waterlooville
Hours: The service requires cover during:
* Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 18:00 – 21:00 hrs
* Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00 hrs
You will not be expected to cover all hours.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
* Request and interpret investigations (e.g. x-rays, scans, blood tests).
* Make safe and appropriate referrals to secondary care.
* Deliver emergency care when required while awaiting transfer.
* Provide clinical advice and support to colleagues.
* Contribute to teaching, training, and service improvement.
About You
We're looking for GPs who combine excellent clinical skills with a patient-first approach and a collaborative mindset.
Essential requirements:
* GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS performers list (no restrictions).
* GP accreditation and MRCGP (or equivalent).
* Experience in primary care and/or urgent care.
* Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be able to obtain Enhanced DBS clearance.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of EMIS clinical system.
* Understanding of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs.
* Leadership and organisational skills.
