Location: Maidenhead
Salary: £47,831 – £52,414 per annum, plus an annual retention bonus of £3,000 subject to eligibility.
Full‑time, permanent role with hybrid working.
The role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will deliver high‑quality adult social care services while supporting the development of others within the team. You will manage a complex caseload, provide professional leadership, and contribute to embedding strengths‑based practice.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of complex assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and care planning in line with the Care Act and other relevant legislation.
* Support and supervise colleagues, offering guidance on complex casework and decision‑making.
* Lead and contribute to multi‑agency meetings, including safeguarding, best interest, and risk management forums.
* Promote a strengths‑based, person‑centred approach to practice.
* Contribute to service development, performance, and continuous improvement within a newly re‑integrated team.
Qualifications and experience
* Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
* Significant post‑qualification experience in adult social care, including complex case management.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.
* Experience of supporting others, supervision, or informal mentoring within a team.
* Commitment to strengths‑based practice, collaborative working with individuals, families, and partner agencies.
* Commitment to PEPS – AMHP‑ BIA.
