Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive and robust professional nursing leadership, care governance, quality assurance, guidance, direction and development of the nursing workforce across the Health and Social Care Partnership (EHSCP).
* Ensure high standards of professional and clinical nursing practice, compliance with best practice and national and local policies and guidelines.
* Develop improvements in nursing practice and influence future service delivery and nursing strategy.
* Manage Clinical Nurse Managers for Mental Health, Vaccinations, Advanced Practice/CTACS and Lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner, overseeing staff governance, recruitment, selection, appraisal, development planning and performance management.
* Act as a visible nursing leader across primary care and community settings, providing advice and support to staff, students, patients and their families.
* Lead change initiatives that ensure patient-centred, safe and effective care.
* Represent EHSCP nursing at committees and forums across Lothian and in national working groups, contributing to HAI, clinical documentation and workforce planning.
* Governance and assurance of excellence in care across EHSCP.
Requirements
* Relevant nursing qualification and experience for a senior leadership role.
* Current POVG Scheme membership for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult). If not a current member, a successful Disclosure Scotland application is required before starting.
* Legal permission to work in the United Kingdom.
