Are you an experienced inventory professional with a strong background in fresh produce or food operations? We are recruiting for a dynamic Inventory Manager to lead a fast-paced, global distribution facility based in Dartford.
The Role:
As Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across the site. Working cross-functionally with supply chain, production, and ripening teams, your leadership will help maintain optimal stock levels, minimise waste, and drive improvements in traceability and warehouse organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure inventory compliance with regular audits, stock accuracy, and data integrity
Manage inventory processes including GR2 and dump stock, customer returns, and reconciliations
Maintain clear, organised inventory locations and ensure accurate labeling
Proactively monitor stock age and shelf life to mitigate risks and financial loss
Collaborate with finance, sourcing, and supply chain teams on inventory reporting
Lead, train, and support site teams in inventory best practices
Drive continuous improvement across all inventory-related operations
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Uphold health & safety standards and contribute to a culture of accountability
About You:
Minimum 5 years' experience in inventory management within the produce or food sector
A natural leader with excellent organisational and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
Strong problem-solving and project management abilities
Able to work independently, take initiative, and thrive under pressure
Experience in cross-functional collaboration and process development
