We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We are expanding our technician teams within the EMEA regions and have openings for Installation Technicians. This entry‑level position offers a unique opportunity to work in some of the most innovative and fast‑paced data centers in the world. The Infrastructure Delivery team is responsible for scaling and physically deploying new data center infrastructure. As part of that team, you will be primarily tasked with installing cabling and new racks within the data centers. You must be able to perform repetitive tasks and adhere to standard processes and best practices while working in a team environment and communicating across teams.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Basic build and troubleshooting of network devices.
* Creating and attaching labels and barcodes.
* Managing inventory of related materials.
* Adhering to defined escalation processes and standard operating procedures.
Physical Requirements
* Position may require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations.
* Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
* Regularly work at heights and from ladders.
* Work in noisy areas with temperatures higher or lower than standard office conditions.
* Personal car and ability to travel within geographical work area is required.
Basic Qualifications
* High school or equivalent diploma.
* Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
* Knowledge of server hardware and components.
