You'll carry out stock condition surveys across our rented properties covering the North East, using this survey data to inform our planned maintenance programme of repairs. Responsibilities
* Completing surveys of our properties, ensuring we have up-to-date records on the conditions of our housing stock including kitchen, bathrooms, roof and garden walls.
* Working closely with our Maintenance Surveyors to understand common defects and issues in our properties, collecting relevant data.
* Building great relationships with our customers, listening to their feedback; helping drive sustainability by advising on energy usage in their properties and raising any emergency repair issues.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across Home Group as well as contractors, checking repair work has been completed on our customers' homes to a high standard.
* Working mainly on our estates covering the North East with some days in our office in Newcastle, others working from home.
Qualifications & Requirements
* An HND/HNC in a relevant construction discipline or equivalent professional experience.
* A good knowledge of stock condition surveys and using information and data to inform planned maintenance programmes.
* Knowledge of housing repairs, improvements, building regulations and the housing health and safety rating system (HHSRS); understanding of sustainability in social housing. Registration as an energy assessor is a plus, or willingness to become one.
* An eye for detail and the ability to work on your own in customers' homes and manage your own workload.
* A full current driving licence; you will travel and work from our estates and mileage will be paid.
* Ability to use technology for completing surveys, collecting robust data, completing online learning and collaborating with colleagues.
* A Basic DBS check, which we will pay for.
