Role Description: Couture Embroidery Assistant
This is a full-time on-site role for a Couture Embroidery Assistant at Miss Sohee. In this role, you will be creating bespoke couture collections and one-of-a-kind gowns for clients and VIPs from around the world. Working with the most luxurious fabrics, each piece requires exceptional craftsmanship and extensive experience. You will be joining a close-knit atelier team, where individual expertise is valued and collaboration is essential to problem-solve and perfect each garment during development. We are searching for a team member with a long-term commitment to the brand and a true passion for couture craftsmanship and with a minimum of three years’ experience of working in a similar Haute Couture Atelier who can confidently perform the key duties and responsibilities required. This is an exciting time to join Miss Sohee, as our luxury West London Atelier has recently expanded to double its size. You will be working hand in hand with our artisan team, contributing to the creation of extraordinary couture pieces while growing alongside the brand.

Duties and responsibilities
* Organise and manage embroidery swatches, ensuring their accurate tracking and timely return from meetings.

* Assist with embroidery placement and application on garments for collections and clients, achieving the highest standard of precision and finishing.

* Demonstrate a strong eye for detail and craftsmanship.

* Scan and prepare patterns for artworking and production.
*
* Apply knowledge of embroidery materials, techniques, and processes effectively.

* Maintain a high level of organisation across tasks and workflows.
*
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in embroidery.
*
* Support the coordination and preparation of shipments.
*
* Remain calm, efficient, and positive under pressure, with a strong work ethic.

* Comfortable working to tight deadlines and able to multitask across changing priorities.
* Excellent Adobe photoshop and illustrator skills to assist with tracing artworks
* Strong knowledge of beading materials and embroidery techniques
* Highly organised in Microsoft excel and keeping track of costs and following up with vendors and suppliers
Hours and environment
Your normal working week will be 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch break. You will be asked to work additional hours paid at the agreed rate of contract. You will be working in a collaborative atelier space with access to free parking dependent on availability.
