Job Summary
Riversley Road Surgery are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave. The position is for 3 hours per day, 5 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the surgery premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. Responsibilities
* Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
* Maintain cleanliness of clinical rooms, waiting room, toilets, kitchens, and communal areas
* Ensure waste disposal is handled appropriately and bins are emptied regularly
* Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
* Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or hazards
* Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor promptly
* Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently
Requirements
* Basic proficiency in English for effective communication and understanding of instructions
* Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles is desirable but not essential
* Good communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients professionally
* Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable manner
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness
* Organised, reliable, and punctual with a keen eye for detail
