Responsibilities of the Group Head of Health and Safety will include:
* Leading the group Health and Safety strategy across all sites, setting clear standards and supporting site managers and general managers.
* Driving a consistent safety culture, improving behaviours and making sure each site follows the same way of working.
* Giving confident guidance to senior leaders and the board, using data and insight to show risk, performance and priorities.
* Making sure the group meets legal duties, internal policies and external audit requirements, including ISO 45001.
* Being a visible leader across all locations, overseeing major incidents, investigations and improvement plans to raise performance.
The successful Group Head of Health and Safety will have:
* Strong experience in food manufacturing and leading safety across multiple sites.
* A NEBOSH Diploma and membership of IOSH, with solid knowledge of UK legislation.
* Confidence to work with senior leaders, challenge when needed and give clear direction.
* A track record of driving cultural and behavioural change and unifying site team.
* IEMA membership and knowledge around environment and sustainability legislation is desirable.
