Job overview
Provide medicines management, general Health Education advice and specialist technical services to the prisoners, Healthcare Staff and external agencies.
To work within the pharmacy and Healthcare Department to improve and develop the pharmacy service to ensure the delivery of a patent focused pharmacy service for Prisoners.
Main duties of the job
To administer medication to patients within the pharmacy and on the prison wings having undertaken relevant training and competencies.
Responsible for safe efficient and effective dispensing and issuing of medications to patients.
Responsible for safe efficient and effective checking of prescriptions dispensed by other members of the pharmacy team.

Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy services and BTEC in Pharmaceutical science (or equivalent underpinning knowledge)
* Accredited checking technician.
