We are looking to recruit an Admin Assistant to join our Adult Services Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team on a temporary basis.
About the role
You will provide a high‑quality administrative and clerical support service to a busy, multi‑disciplinary team. This is a varied role where you’ll play a key part in supporting day‑to‑day operations.
Key responsibilities
* Provide clerical and typing support, including maintaining databases and processing information
* Handle telephone and reception duties, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism when dealing with callers
* Carry out general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and processing financial documentation (including petty cash)
* Support the wider administrative team, including providing cover when required (this may involve travelling to other local sites)
* Maintain and order stationery and office supplies
* Undertake other duties appropriate to the nature and grade of the post
About you
* Previous administrative experience is essential
* Experience of handling telephone enquiries in a busy environment
* Ability to work effectively in an environment with frequent interruptions
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information in line with GDPR and the Data Protection Act
* Able to meet the physical demands of the role
* Flexible approach to working hours where service needs require
