What's involved with this role: Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager Ref: 000A 24D8 / 1 Pay Rate: Up to £355 per day PAYE (depending on experience – rates must reflect candidate capability) Working Arrangement: Hybrid – mostly remote, but attendance at Oldham office is mandatory when requested Role Length: 4 months (initial assignment) Job Type: Contract Location: Oldham | OL1 1HD Hours: 36 hours per week | Monday–Friday Contract Type: Temporary The Role Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to support its busy Commercial Procurement Unit through a key period of legislative change and service transformation. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and assurance on the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23) and ensure procurement activity complies with evolving regulations. While not category-specific, the role spans multiple spend areas – so broad category experience is essential, with particular emphasis on construction, highways, repairs, maintenance, and facilities management. You’ll be confident in reviewing procurement reports and documentation, advising on PA23 compliance, and deputising for senior leaders where required. Public sector experience is essential, and knowledge of PCR 2015 is also beneficial. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in a complex, changing environment.
