Duties and responsibilities
* Carry out comprehensive vehicle maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards
* Accurately diagnose faults and communicate findings effectively to the Workshop Controller
* Ensure all work adheres to health & safety and quality procedures
* Complete vehicle safety, reliability, performance, and fault diagnostics
* Support ongoing training and certification, including hybrid/EV systems
* Maintain high standards of work in this busy workshop environment
* Participate in additional duties as required within the Service Department
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician role
* Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
* Ideally 1–2 years of practical experience post‑qualification
* UK driving licence essential
* Good team player with a proactive attitude and commitment to quality work
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet targets
* Experience working on or accreditation with VAG vehicles or an active MOT licence is advantageous but not mandatory
* Living within a reasonable commuting distance of Newport
