Graduate Learning Support Assistant – Autism & Communication
Location: South Shields
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)
This is a brilliant opportunity for graduates wanting to gain real experience in a specialist SEND environment. You’ll work with autistic pupils who benefit from structure, visual communication and calm, consistent adult support.
Your role will involve:
* Supporting communication using visuals, PECS and routines
* Helping pupils manage sensory needs
* Encouraging confidence during transitions and daily activities
* Running simple, engaging tasks with guidance from teachers
* Being a friendly, supportive presence all day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
