motivated and ambitious new team members to join our specialist clinical pharmacists. Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate post-registration experience in clinical practice with development against the RPS Foundation Pharmacy Framework, will be GPhC registered and be able to demonstrate their experience in clinical practice through application and interview showcasing their readiness to move into a more specialist role.
The anticoagulation clinic’s primary function is to provide clinical expertise and dosing advice to patients prescribed warfarin across the South Bristol catchment area, the service doses patient on behalf of primary care clinical teams and is the first port-of-call for patients to address concerns and potential clinical issues associated with their warfarin prescriptions. The clinic also leads on anticoagulation and thrombosis clinical pathways and advice for inpatient management across UHBW.
The cardiac pharmacy team provides a clinical pharmacy service to the Bristol Heart Institute, a tertiary clinical service managing cardiology and cardiac surgery patients across the South-West. Cardiology is one of the pathfinder services for the Hospital Group model and so this is an exciting time to be joining the team and undertaking this change to improve the care of patients across BNSSG.
This role will include leadership of the operational elements of these services day-to-day, line management of the Anticoagulation Pharmacy Technician and supervision of trainee pharmacists, foundation pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacy technicians.
