This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with H&S legislation, promoting a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvement across all services. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement corporate H&S policies and strategies in line with legislation and best practice. * Act as the Council’s representative with enforcing authorities and provide expert advice to senior management. * Conduct risk assessments, audits, and investigations, recommending preventative measures. * Deliver bespoke H&S training for employees and managers, fostering a culture of shared responsibility. * Analyse accident and incident data to identify trends and inform decision-making. * Promote wellbeing initiatives and support occupational health matters, including stress management and safe working practices.
