💻 System Support Engineer – NHS (Norwich & Norfolk Area)
💷 Rate: £16 per hour (Inside IR35 – via Umbrella)
📍 Location: Onsite across Norwich and the wider Norfolk area
🚗 Full UK driving licence required – travel to different NHS sites may be necessary – (Vehicle Provided)
🗓️ Start: ASAP – until March 2026
⏰ Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday (occasional weekend work may be required)
About the Role
We’re recruiting a System Support Engineer to join the Digital IT Services and Systems Department within the NHS.
You’ll work as part of a dedicated team responsible for supporting and maintaining hardware, core systems, web services, applications, operating systems, and networking across multiple NHS sites.
You’ll play a key role in monitoring incidents, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for service and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for a wide range of systems, applications, and hardware.
* Monitor and manage incidents, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
* Support and mentor 1st Line Service Desk team members through knowledge sharing and skill transfer.
* Deploy, configure, and maintain IT equipment including laptops and desktops.
* Recommend system and service improvements to enhance overall performance.
Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience in an IT Support / System Support / Technical Support role.
* Confident troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and network-related issues.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites. (Vehicle Provided)
