Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised and pro-active Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to provide high quality input working within Pre-school ALN and Paediatric Dysphagia Services.
This is a fixed term temporary post for 12 months for 3 days a week (0.6 WTE). This post is based at Conwy Child Development Centre. The post holder will work within the Pre-school complex needs Speech and Language Therapy service in Conwy Child Development Centre (2 days) and within the Paediatric Dysphagia Service (1 day).
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities include but are not limited to Triage of referrals; Caseload allocation and prioritisation; Assessment, treatment and management of a complex and highly specialist Paediatric caseload; Planning and supporting transition to community services (Early years clinics and school-aged services).
The role involves delivery of training and education to the wider MDT and Band 5 Speech and Language Therapy colleagues in dysphagia and communication. Clinical Education to Speech and Language Therapy students will also be a part of this role.
CPD and clinical supervision are encouraged and supported within BCUHB Speech and Language Therapy Services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
* oRecognised qualification degree / equivalent in S< oHCPC registered oPost graduate study relevant to clinical area at Masters level or equivalent demonstrable experience at this level oClinical supervisory experience
* oMembership of appropriate clinical network group
* oOther professional or academic qualification which relates to clinical practice
Experience
* oSignificant experience clinically in area of specialism
* oExperience of clinical leadership
* oSignificant experience of leading multidisciplinary / multiprofessional teams
* oDelivering Practice Supervision
* oEvidence of attendance on specialist short courses and advanced training in relation to clinical specialty
* oExperience in leading service development / improvement
