GSL Education are recruiting for a school in Dibden Purlieu who is looking for individuals to take on a Behaviour Mentoring role. The school is seeking someone confident in communicating and interacting with young people and supporting them with their social, emotional and mental health needs.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children within the classroom setting, working both one-to-one and in small groups to help them engage positively with learning. You will manage challenging behaviour with patience and professionalism, while acting as a positive role model at all times. A key part of your role will be to take a genuine interest in each student’s progress and well-being, providing consistent support to help them build confidence, emotional resilience, and positive relationships.

* Behaviour Teaching Assistant
* Location:Dibden Purlieu
* Salary Scale: £82.80 to £100 per day
* Start Date: ASAP/ September 2025
Requirements for Behaviour Teaching Assistant role:
* Has experience working with young people, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Leader, Scout Leader or something similar
* Has a positive attitude
* Can engage children in and out of the classroom
* Feels confident managing challenging behaviour
* Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism or social and emotional needs.
* Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in SEN practices and strategies.

* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
