About the Role
As a Security Architect, you’ll play a central role in shaping secure, cloud-first solutions across enterprise transformation programmes. Working closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams, you’ll ensure security is embedded by design; enabling public sector organisations to deliver digital services safely, reliably, and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
* Define, design, and assure security architecture across major digital transformation programmes.
* Develop security patterns, policies, and technical controls aligned with NCSC, ISO 27001, and government standards.
* Provide expert input across cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP), application security, and data protection.
* Conduct threat modelling, risk assessment, and architectural reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
* Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to balance security, usability, and performance.
* Mentor teams and champion secure-by-design principles across the engineering function.
About You
* Proven experience as a Security Architect or Senior Security Engineer designing secure digital systems.
* Strong background in cloud and application security, ideally across multi-cloud environments.
* Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, and OWASP.
* Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Background working within public sector or regulated industries is highly desirable.
* Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent) are advantageous.
