Posted Thursday 17 July 2025 at 00:00 Assistant Psychologist Research (Fixed Term Contract for 12 months) Location: Hybrid Salary: £27,485 per annum An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Assistant Psychologist for the Brainkind Brain Injury Linkworker Team.
Under the supervision of the consultant clinical neuropsychologist to work on a range of projects for the Policy and Social Change Team. To support with all aspects of research projects from literature searches, research design, ethics applications, recruitment, data collection, statistical analysis and write up. To support the P&SC team in their work raising awareness of brain injury, by helping to write presentations, assisting with training and preparing professional posts for social media. Please note Brainkind was formally The Disabilities Trust.
The post is ideally suited to an experienced Assistant Psychologist with good writing skills and statistics knowledge, who is seeking to develop their research skills.

. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist with the research design, literature review, participant recruitment, and assessment, data entry and analysis and preparation of manuscripts for publication in a range of projects. To collate and analyse outcome data from the Brain Injury Linkworker Service to utilise this data to produce high quality reports. To assist with other research projects within the P&SC team. To assist with the preparation of material for social media posts relating to the work of P&SC team To develop clinical resource materials for use with people with brain injury in HMPPS (Brain Injury Linkworker Service) To support with writing ethics applications for new projects To support producing promotional material for the BIL service (e.g., posters and flyers). To undertake any other duties as may from time to time be specified by Brainkind, that is within the level and responsibility appropriate to the grade of the post. To undertake, any reasonable travelling requirements, in orderto fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role. ABOUT YOU: An upper second class or first class honours degree in psychology Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Experience of conducting comprehensive literature searches Good knowledge of statistical methods Experiencing of handling and designing databases Experience of using software for data-analysis and visually presenting data (e. g.
