The Phoenix Way seeks to ensure that no community is left behind – it took flight in 2021, as a bold response to the stark structural inequalities confronting Black & racially minoritised communities. What began as the Phoenix Fund in 2020, evolved into The Phoenix Way Partnership, with an unwavering mission to dismantle systemic racism in philanthropy and drive lasting, transformative change.
We are now seeking committed individuals to join our Board. You may be a seasoned trustee of board member, or you could be earlier in your career or consider the time is right now for you to contribute to something new and different – your understanding of board governance is less important than your commitment to change, sharing our values and your drive for success.
We are at a key moment in time: we want to grow, develop, deliver success, promote and support groundbreaking work, but this is more than just being enthused and passionate, it is about adding new and different talent to our Board so we have a sustainable, impactful organisation that will serve Black and racially minoritised communities across England.
The Board provides strategic oversight, ensures good governance, and supports the executive team in delivering our ambitious mission. Board members will help shape the organisation's development as it transitions to full operational status and establishes its long-term sustainability.
