Job Details

1. Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

2. Enhancements of time and a third for unsocial hours.

3. Sleepovers are paid at the SGLW currently £13.18 per hour.

4. With 32 annual leave days rising to 37 days after 5 years.

Supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health disorderswithin their own homes and to access the local community.

This role includes dayshifts, late shifts, sleepovers and nightshifts and weekend working, all applicants must be able to do all shift patterns. This may be in a shared tenancy or single tenancy; successful applicants will be expected to lone work at times.

Keyworker duties are a requirement for this role, tasks such as assessing, planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing of individual support plans and keeping accurate records of outcomes focused support planning and review for the people whom you support.

Successful applicants will be provided with all necessary training such as Moving and Handling, CALM, Dysphagia etc.

The Person

Must have or be willing to achieve in the first period of registration, the Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 7 (equivalent to SVQ3) or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration.

Communication skills, organisational skills, ability to manage and prioritise workload, ability to work with minimal supervision, team working skills, literacy skills, competent IT skills and the ability to lead and mentor Care Assistants.

Ability to provide support to individuals with personal care needs, moving & handling, ability to undertake physical tasks ., being able to comfortably kneel on beds and floors and able to rise without difficulty.

Ability to undertake CALM training which requires a level of fitness.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

As this role requires SSSC registration, the successful applicant will have three months to apply for registration.
