Motor Mechanic (Full-time)
Location: Welshpool, WA 6106
Salary: $76,500 – $80,000 per annum + superannuation
Key Responsibilities
* Service, inspect and repair engines and mechanical systems of light motor vehicles, including gearboxes, suspension, steering, and braking systems.
* Identify, diagnose and assess faults in engines and related components.
* Disassemble engines, gearboxes, steering units and other parts for inspection and repair.
* Repair or replace faulty or worn components and reassemble systems using manuals and technical guidelines where required.
* Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication and engine tuning to ensure optimal performance and environmental compliance.
* Rebuild engines and mechanical systems following repairs.
* Test, fine-tune and verify the performance of repaired mechanical components.
* Use diagnostic tools, equipment and computer systems to assess vehicle issues.
* Conduct vehicle inspections and, where applicable, issue roadworthiness certificates or recommend required repairs for compliance.
Requirements
* Minimum Certificate III and IV in Automotive Mechanical Technology, or a successor qualification in the relevant field.
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of vehicle systems and mechanical components.
* Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
* Full-time work rights in Australia.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Valid Manual Driver’s Licence (mandatory).
